How to Tell that You Need a Pool

It's started out innocently enough.  She just wanted to play with the hose.

Then she wanted to play in the water.

Daddy was planting flowers for Mama.  (Grandma taught him well.)

Go play in the water!!

Soon it was naked!

Mama fetched a proper swim suit.

As always, Pasha LOVED to get wet.

Lonely Iris.

Camera on Micro setting.

OK...I added a puddle pool to my shopping list!

Farm Living

Daddy got a chipper so he can clean up all the trees he is clearing.

And of course we needed a trailer too......

Now we just need an out building for all this equipment!

Chop Chop

Today I came home to this!!
Boone Electric has decided to butcher all my precious full grown trees in order to safeguard their little old power lines.

Warm Fall Sunday

Today Zoe came over to help me paint this ugly old gas tank that sits in our yard not far from the house.
First we washed it and then we cut out leaf templates from card stock....then we had fun with spray paint.

This is how it turned out......I don't like it.  I will be re-doing this project.

Today we used the new fire pit (anniversary gift) for the first time.  It was kind of warm for a fire but we could not pass up such a pretty night to relax outdoors.

Zoe gave Alli this Hula Hoop for her birthday.  Alli loves it but still has not mastered her technique.

Reading Area

I recently decided to rearrange the kitchen to make more efficient use of the space.  First we moved the dining area to the middle of the room (lower photo) and then I purchased two reading chairs off Craigslist and pulled some furniture out of storage in the basement to make this nice little reading/sitting are.  Today at Menard's I found the area carpet on sale.  So thrilled.

It's a really cozy space and the whole room works so much better for us now!

New Patio

Last week, we had a new patio poured.

I requested curved corners.

Today Daddy sealed the new pretty patio.

Alli watched and stayed out of the way.

And of course she wore a lovely dress just for the occasion.
