Today is Gene & Rae Kaufman’s 50th wedding anniversary!!!
Happy Anniversary!! Congratulations!! Wow!!

So, of course, we loaded up the SUV (boat on top) and drove to Kansas City for a visit. Alli was acutely aware of her lack of bottle the entire 2 hours we were in route to KC. The drive was unpleasant and I joked that when we got to Grandma and Grandpa’s house we would push her out the door and drive off really fast. However, once we got there and she could play with Grandma and Grandpa and all her toys, she forgot all about her bottle and was fine.

In the afternoon, we all went to an outdoors blues festival. When we got there, we saw they had a new playground too, so it was defiantly a great choice. We set our chairs up in the shade and the listened to the music, ate our picnic lunch and took turns escorting Alli to the playground. It was a bit windy but a very beautiful afternoon. Later, back at the house, we had Zarda’s barbeque for dinner and Tippin’s key lime pie for desert and then watched a movie.

Alli enjoys playing the piano and we are so happy that she does NOT pound on the keys. She likes it best if Grandma sits with her and shows her the proper technique.
