We spent the weekend in Kansas City visiting Grandma and Grandpa Kaufman.
On Sunday, we did a day trip to Newton Kansas to visit Grandpa Gene’s brother Don and his wife Eleanor. Two of their kids were also visiting with their spouses and kids. One of Allia’s cousins is a 2 year old boy named Orion and the other is a 9 year old girl named Camille. Orion arrived to find Allia playing with one of his toys. He decided to challenger her on it and she gave him a good shove in and effort to keep her toy. (She didn’t understand that it was his yet). Orion was not too happy and had a little melt down. Then, we were all braced that the two would not get along, but much to our joy, after the initial conflict, they got along great. They played together and I was very proud of Allia’s sharing skills. Orion is an adorable blond and a smart little guy who can talk circles around Allia. (Sorry I did not bring my camera along) Camille entertained us by reading Dr. Seuss books aloud. She is a very skilled reader for her age. It was a delight to meet some of the extended family and a relief that Alli was not a problem during the 3 hour car ride both to and from Newton Kansas.

This year, Allia was a skilled present opener.

She helped EVERYONE open their gifts.

Allia loves to spend time in the kitchen with Grandma.

Her favorite toy is Fisher Price Little "People".

New books are always fun.
