Today was a holiday for both James and me, so we did not have to go to work. We spent the morning packing for our weekend in Kansas City and each ventured out for a bike ride. First, James did a cross bike ride and later, I took my mountain bike out to Rockbridge for a quick loop. I found they are adding / modifying the Deer Run trail by the two switch backs at the creek crossing just as you come in from Paxton Passage. I look forward to these changes because those corners are rocky disasters and wrecking on one of them would really hurt.

Around 2 pm we drove to Kansas City. Alli slept ½ way there and was a bit bored the rest of the way. She was pretty good for the most part and boy was she super glad to see Grandma and Grandpa.

Grandma had purchased a puddle pool for Alli to play in and we enjoyed a beautiful evening grilling and playing out on the back patio.

Grandma has the place looking like a botanical garden.

Alli enjoyed sitting in this bucket as much, if not more than playing in the pool.
