So, the 29th of August (yesterday) was my birthday. My friend Cherie, who happens to work for me, had the bright idea to throw me a baby shower / birthday party at work with lunch provided and decorations and cake. It was really a nice surprise. I can’t stand when all eyes are on me, however, a free lunch and a pile of new, much needed, baby stuff was worth suffering through a chorus of Happy Birthday for.

Gifts included but were not limited to:
A pink ceramic piggy bank; being an Accountant, I just love this gift.
A keepsake box; which is something I would never think to buy, but I am sure I will use and enjoy.

Burp clothes with home sewn decorations; Teri Phillips has a really nice sewing machine and knows how to use it!

Big belled jogging outfit and tons of other cute clothes.

A custom, homemade blanket with special froggy motif.

Little socks; she can wear them and be just like her Dad.

A portable crib, which I know will come in handy. I plan on putting it in the Master bed room while she is tiny so we can have her nearby becuae the baby’s bed room is at the other end of the house.

I had to check in to see how you were doing. That was nice of your friend to throw you a shower, but I feel the same about parties for me. Looks like lots of cool/cute stuff for Alli. You are in the home stretch now, just a few more weeks!
