Ballet Class Begins

Today was Allia’s first “real” ballet lesson. We arrived a few minutes early to check in and make sure everything was in order and as we settled in to wait for class to start, we looked up to find that Addi, one of Allia’s best friends at school, was also in her class. The girls hugged and jumped with joy.

Here is Addi and her mom. Addi is always on the go so she would not sit still for her picture. I really enjoyed hanging with her mom while the girls were in class.

When it was finally time to go in the class room, my daughter marched right in and did not look back. I am glad she is so brave.

Parents are not allowed in the classroom and must take turns watching through a small window in the door. These photos were taken through that window so the quality is rather poor.

I must say I was very impressed with how hard the girls listened and worked. They were so mature yet so adorable in their matching pink ballet shoes and little leotards.

When class was over Allia did not want to leave. When we got home she said she wanted to go back. She just LOVED it so much and can’t wait for next Wednesday.
