Tonight was senior night at Hickman. Randy and I got to escort Malcolm on to the field as he was introduced as one of the football teams senior members. This was also the last home game of the season. I was instructed to wear his away jersey for the proceedings and it fit me like a dress; hung down to my knees. I felt sort of silly, BUT I am very proud of Malcolm and all the years he has worked hard to be a member of the football team. I never knew how much time and effort those kids put into it until he started playing in 9th grade. They pretty much practice year round except December and all summer except one week. It is a huge commitment to stick with it for 4 whole years.
I love you Malcolm and I am super proud of you!
