Saturday morning, we went to KC to get Alli’s 18 month photos taken as well as to drop off a kayak, visit Grandma and Grandpa and spend some quality time with Slebos.

Here is a photo of the kayak…….it was actually used in the Olympics …… kind of cool.

Alli did not enjoy getting her photos taken and my favorite portrait place was not up to par. They were behind from the very first appointment and the customer service was just lacking. I hope next time works out better for us, or we will have to start shopping for a new place to get portraits done. (see photos in posting below)

After photos, it was pouring down rain and Alli was tired and mommy was frustrated, so we just went back to Grandma and Grandpa’s house to relax. After a few hours, the rain finally passed and the sun came out. Slebos came over to pick up James and they went out in the canoe. Alli played outside all afternoon and had the best time.

At bed time, we loaded up the car and headed back to Columbia. Alli fell asleep right away and we had a pleasant and easy drive back. No storms this time, just a few rain drops on our Rain-xed windshield.
