We were originally scheduled to visit Grandma and Grandpa Kaufman in Kansas City on Saturday, but thanks to a crazy winter storm, we rescheduled and drove out on Sunday morning.
On highway 70, we saw at least a dozen cars off in the ditch. Evidently, the highway had been very dangerous Saturday evening and we were sure glad we had not tried to drive on it. Alli watched her Baby Einstein DVDs in the car and she managed to make the whole 2 hour trip without much of a fuss. Those DVDs have been life savers on many occasions.

While in Kansas City, we celebrated Grandpa Gene’s birthday, ate lots of yummy stuff and marveled at the new high definition television. James and I ventured out without Beanie to go shopping at Cabela’s and Nebraska Furniture Mart. We were amazed at all we saw, but only purchased one item……….$15 worth of fishing line (long story).

Alli had fun playing and sitting in Grandma's cabinets.

Eating big strawberries (boy that girl loves her fruit).
Alli read lots of books.

But mostly she just wanted to be pulled around the house in her little wagon that is designed to haul some toddler blocks. Maybe we should buy her a real wagon?!?!

She often took a toy along for the ride.

Thanks Daddy, for teaching Alli to open her mouth real big to express her excitement.
