COLD, COLD, COLD !!
For all my out of town friends, yes we are having some arctic weather her in Mid MO. And yes, it is no fun at all. Last night, I was cold all night long even after I climbed in bed. Every time I woke up I could hear the furnace running. I kept thinking…..I bet we are going through some gas! Today we are all the way up to 10 degrees at two in the afternoon. I hate this weather, it is miserable to just go outside for even a minute. I have had to leave the dog in the house. She doesn’t want to go out even to go potty. I hope she is not hurting herself by holding "it"for too long.
Yesterday morning we got up and looked at the thermometer on the wall and it was -5 (that’s minus five) outside. On Tuesday and Thursday mornings, we usually do a 5:30 am group run. Over the years, I have decided that if it is below 20 degrees, it is too cold for me to run outside. I have established 30 degrees as the cut off for taking along Alli-Bean. James, well, he usually goes no matter what, but not this morning. He went and ran on the dreadmill at the gym. Some of our running friends did actually show up and run!! Definitely not a smart thing to do, but makes for a great photo to add to my blog posting.
