Vomit and car washes.
Last night, as I put Beanie in the car to head home, she threw up. I think she was just a bit sick from her shots. I had not even put the car in gear to back up yet so I checked on her and she was unhappy and covered in yucky stuff, but she was OK. We drove home with the smell of puke filling the air. As soon as I got home, I started filling the tub and pulled the baby from the car seat leaving her soaked clothes and blanket in the car seat. That would have to wait…..first we must get this child cleaned up. After her bath, I dressed her and she drank a little water. She still smelled bad…..I guess it was up her nose. Anyhow, James came home and helped with the cleaning of the car seat and everything was better. Then she threw up again. Poor thing, I felt so bad for her. We watched her for a while longer and finally put her to bed. I was thrilled when she slept all night and never threw up again. She is now romping all over my office and seems to be back to 100%. I was just day dreaming that it sure would be cool if they had a car wash type devise for puky babies in car seat. You know, you would feed the dirty baby, seat and all into one end and she would come out the other end all clean and shiny. They would even blow dry her for you and assure a streak free shine. Or, my other wish would be that car seat straps were not such a puzzle. It seems like the worst thing of all is the 50 minutes it takes to put the darn seat back together.
