Labor Day Weekend

I had a super-fun Birthday weekend in Kansas City. Alli was such a good girl and really enjoyed her time with Grandma Rae and Grandpa Gene. Grandma made lots of good food and I ate twice as much as I should have but enjoyed it immensely. Mommy and Daddy took the opportunity to do lots of fun “gown up” things. Saturday evening we went out to dinner at a lovely restaurant called Lidia’s and then strolled around down town browsing the stores and seeing the sites. We even peeked in on the Irish festival. (it was cash only and we had no cash) Sunday we went mountain biking at Landahl, which is my favorite place in Missouri to mountain bike. Monday we biked at Minor Park but did not have a trail map and were basically unprepared so it was a bit of a flop. We also went jogging without pushing a stroller and watched a gorgeous sunset as we canoed around Lake Jacomo. All in all it was a very relaxing yet action packed weekend. I think I went all day Sunday without changing a single diaper!
